NFL Week 7 Preview
NFL Week 7 Preview

Another week, another great slate of NFL games to behold! Let's take a look.
The action gets underway tonight, with the Case Keenum-led Denver Broncos heading down to Arizona to take on Josh Rosen and the Cardinals. Both teams need a win in the worst way- the Broncos have lost four straight while the Cardinals have looked completely listless all season. The fans in Denver have already all but given up on the newly-signed Keenum, cheering wildly when backup Chad Kelly entered the game for one play last week. Head man Vance Joseph may not have many weeks left roaming the sidelines. In a similarly poor situation out in the desert, the rookie Rosen has actually looked solid since his first start in Week 4. But it hasn't been enough to turn around their 1-5 season, and they're almost out of chances.
In Chicago, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will try to follow up their dramatic win over Patrick Mahomes and previously undefeated Kansas City by facing off against Khalil Mack and the ferocious Bears defense. Second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has seemingly turned a corner for Chicago, with nine touchdowns to just one interception in his last two weeks. Meanwhile, Mahomes and the Chiefs will try to rebound at home on Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, who are coming off a disappointing loss of their own, this one to Pittsburgh. Antonio Brown took a Ben Roethlisberger pass and scampered into the end zone in the final seconds to steal it in Cincy, so the Bengals need to steal one back to even the scales.
With Kansas City finally falling last week, that leaves the Los Angeles Rams as the league's last remaining unbeaten. Head Coach Sean McVay and quarterback Jared Goff have devised a seemingly unstoppable offense that leads the league in yards per game, with do-everything running back Todd Gurley one of the early favorites for MVP. They're playing host to a supremely disappointing 49ers team that many thought would make a playoff run this year. But they've been devastated by injuries, including season enders to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and prized free agent running back Jerick McKinnon. Backup C.J. Beathard has done an admiral job under center, but it hasn't been enough to secure victories. All they're doing is playing spoiler now.
But the most intriguing matchup of the week takes place in Baltimore, as the high-flying Saints offense comes to town to take on the Ravens, who have the league's number one defense. Hall of Famer Drew Brees will attempt to figure out a Ravens team that sacked Marcus Mariota a whopping eleven times last week in their shutout of the Titans. Joe Flacco has been good enough, perhaps energized by Baltimore's selection of Heisman-Trophy winning QB Lamar Jackson in the first round. And with this defense, 'good enough' is all it takes to get wins. For added intrigue, the one team Drew Brees has never beaten in his career? Baltimore. It should be a classic.
